Roulette is one of the most popular casino games in the world and is also the easiest to play. We all have seen movies in which the croupier (the dealer at a roulette table) calls out, “Ladies and gentlemen, please place your bets!” If you have ever wondered about the good and bad points of online roulette then read this article to learn more.
Online roulette has spread this exciting game even further. Along with the software the online casino provides, you can also download and use “roulette companion” applications like Routrack.
Roulette is a wheeled game in which a white ball is spun around a circle of 36 numbered slots or pockets that alternate between red and black plus a “0″ and “00″ in “American” style roulette. “American” style roulette is mainly played in the US, parts of South America and the Caribbean.
In the rest of the world, “European” roulette, made famous at Monte Carlo” is the primary style. The wheel is similar except that a European roulette wheel has 36 numbers and only a single 0 for the house to win on. The object of either game is to predict where on the wheel the white ball will land.
Made famous by Monte Carlo and Las Vegas, roulette has moved online and is becoming a draw for people who normally don?t even gamble. But playing online roulette like anything else in life has both its pros and cons. The tips below will outline some the good points and drawbacks of playing roulette online.
The Pros and Cons of Online Roulette
Roulette Pro # 1 ? You can play this exciting game in the comfort and privacy of your own home. You don?t have to leave your house anymore to enjoy the thrill of practicing your “secret” betting system.
Roulette Pro # 2 ? You don?t have to travel. If you are like most people, a friendly, honest casino is not usually situated near your house or apartment, unless you really do live in Vegas or Monte Carlo. Most of us have to plan ahead and make arrangements to visit a casino either on a weekend or vacation.
Roulette Pro # 3 ? There is no pressure. In a real life situation, when you are standing in front of professional croupier at a table ringed with other players, you may feel intimidated. With an online table, you can take your time to learn and understand the game. Since many online roulette sites offer “play” money, you can quickly develop your skills with putting yourself at risk.
Roulette Con # 1 ? With American style roulette, the house has a higher edge than European games. At the same time however, American rules are simple to grasp and makes for a faster mode of play.
Roulette Con # 2 – You don?t have any personal interaction with the other players. Don?t forget European style roulette is the game that James Bond played wearing a tux while drinking a martini! Of course you can?t see anyone in an online game but you can pretend.
Roulette Con # 3 ? You have to be careful of where you play. Since you don?t “see” the wheels per say, you have to rely on the reputation and honesty of the online casino. Also, many Americans may have some problems transferring funds to European based online casinos.
Now that you are aware of some of the good and bad points of online roulette, you can now begin to explore quality gambling websites, without fear.

There is no “dealer” in Online Roulette – it is just a computer, a predictable “machine”! I vouch for the fact that there exists software out there, that can predict the next numbers.

Roulette is a random game based on luck. wheel has no memory , plus dealer changes the ball randomly after some spins. So There is no perfect strategy that can be applied on roulette.

Actually, Playing online poker isn’t illegal, but making the transaction to or from a us financial institution and a poker site: A ridiculous law tacked on to an import/export bill by good ol’ GWBush.
As for these sites being rigged… Tell that to the people over on the two plus two forums who’ve been making a living off online gambling for years
